After all everyone knows how sensitive our facial skin can be, and especially when the hair follicles are pulled out, our pores can be vulnerable.
If you have that sensitive skin, any type of hair removal treatments can take its toll on your delicate skin. The redness, the pesky breakouts and the swollen skin might distress you.
Skin irritation can be avoided if you heedfully follow certain steps curated by dermatologists and health professionals.
Tips to strictly follow to avoid any skin issues after your threading session
1. No touching
Avoid touching the threaded skin for at least 12-24 hours. It is highly possible that
bacteria from your fingers can sneak through your vulnerable pores. And, the very
next morning, you will mourn your clear skin you had the day prior to threading.
2. Ice cubes to soothe
Use ice on the the affected area to alleviate any puffiness or redness of your skin
3. Say No to Sun
Do not face the direct sunlight for at least 24 hours after threading. Make sure to
apply sunscreen of at least SPF 30 to avoid hyper-pigmentation and other damages caused by UV rays.
4. Chemically infused cosmetics are your enemies
For few days, you will need to avoid the cosmetic products, makeup that will exacerbate your skin reaction. Those harmful pore clogging ingredients and comedogenic products are friends of breakout.
5. Aloe vera gel can be your savior
Aloe vera fights your inflammation and redness. Sleep with a layer of aloe vera gel on your face and you find your skin as supple as you wish after any harsh hair removal treatment.
6. Avoid next day skin treatments
Skin treatments like bleaching, spa & facials, and tanning should not be performed on your skin at least for next 2-3 days.
